About Us

We have been serving the greater Seattle area, Eastside and surrounding areas since 2003 however Pooper Trooper actually began back in 1989 when Bill was looking for extra work while struggling as a college student. At that time his uncle offered to pay him to pick up the yard after his two dogs. Recognizing a need out there for this kind of service, Bill developed and began Pooper Trooper® and built up a small customer base. He stopped a few years later to pursue the career he studied for in college and became a sound engineer and tour manager for several local rock bands.

After spending many years on the road in a very demanding industry he met his wife Nicki and decided to settle down. He tried working in a few other professions including sales and volunteering at PAWS and noticed a great lack of good personable customer service and a need for more pet related services. Meanwhile Pooper Trooper® kept coming back into his thoughts and after doing more research, he recognized even more of a need, he decided to revisit his first business inspiration. Pooper Trooper® was then rebuilt gradually by Bill with the support of his wife Nicki while she also worked as a buyer for Macys until 2006.

Both of us are committed to offering a solution for dog waste pollution with our weekly service for residential and commercial properties, DOGIPOT pet waste products and by providing information on our site and working public events to better educate the public on the hazards of dog waste if not picked up regularly and disposed of properly. This business has since become more of a cause for us and we have built a reputation based on professionalism, incredible customer service, being communicative and reliable as well as a significant contributor to local animal welfare organizations such as PAWS, Seattle Animal Shelter, King Co. Humane Society, Cougar Mountain Zoo, the Feral Cat Project, Reading with Rover and several local breed rescue organizations.

In addition, all of our Dog Waste Management Officers™ are some of the highest paid in the industry and have been background checked by the Washington State Patrol. They are required to love animals, have a history with working with dogs and are trained on dog behavior by a special course created for Pooper Trooper® by Bark Busters. It is important to us that you know that our Officers will be fully trained, will respect your property and treat your dog and yard as if they were their own.
